Working with market leaders in the mobile carrier market for technology assessment and deployment feasibility studies, NOVUS is now in the process of deployment of its technology in Turkey, Iraq and Indonesia. These deployments offer true mobility over WiFi networks and differ from existing installations based around the hotspot concept used by alternate suppliers.

The Novus solution delivers reliable wireless wideband triple play communications in all types of metropolitan environments. The solution overcomes the traditional obstacles of large-scale broadband wireless deployment, enabling broadband connectivity at 54 Mbps throughput over standard Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b – with output power of less than 100 milWatt (FCC/ETSI). Delivering broadband service over an extended range of up to 5 km (Point-to-Multipoint) and 40km (Point-to-Point), Novus ensures seamless "hand-off" between Wi-Fi cells for uninterrupted service. The technology operates in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz band, and is ideal for providing multi-channel and high-capacity bandwidth communication for all types of wireless Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), LAN, or WAN deployments. Built-in enhanced encryption ensures unmatched security.

Using standard Wi-Fi protocol (IEEE 802.11b) and CPE boards, the solution is compatible with standard hardware, and supports both Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint full duplex connectivity. The system components can also function as a wireless Access Point (AP), a station adaptor or a bridge with repeating function.

Above all, the solution supports both indoor and outdoor scenarios, as well as coverage for transition between the two. The technology is unique in the sense that it can host stationary and mobile applications, and address all the broadband requirements of MAN deployments.

Novus′s WIFI management lies in its new approach to marketing Wireless Data Access. Hotzones are created where each and every hot zone is a part of a wireless “Cloud” reaching the consumers by creating new points of interaction instead of trying to sell to the consumer at their home.

In essence, the membership allows you to have mobility across hotzones which is ultimate goal of Novus′s business model.

The Cloud is the application of a Hotzone where through WIFI equipment, an IP CLOUD is created and a number Value Addded Services are run upon.

Wireless cloud allows for effective transfer of Data, Video and Voice. It works as a secure, quickly installable solution as an ALTERNATIVE BACK BONE.
